Welcome to the Meals on Wheels Foundation!

The meal delivery program of the Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association is hurt by rising gas costs. Soaring gas prices in our area are squeezing budgets for a lot of people, businesses and organizations.
Our program has been hit very hard by gas costs. It is getting increasingly difficult to deliver food to older adults who are unable to shop or cook for themselves.  The attached link to ABC7 is to a story that ran on Friday, May 30th.

The Meals on Wheels Foundation

is a not-for- profit organization created to:

  • increase public awareness of the services provided by Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association
  • gain support, both in charitable donations and other funding for the home delivery of meals to suburban Cook, Grundy and Kendall County, Illinois seniors
  • assist Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association with the expansion of all needed services to isolated low-income seniors in Cook, Grundy and Kendall County, Illinois

The Meals on Wheels Foundation of Cook County was created in 2001 as an organizational affiliate of the Community Nutrition Network for which it serves as the fundraising, public awareness, and community outreach arm.  Along with support from the Foundation, CNN is also funded in part through a grant from Age Options and Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging under Title III-C of the Older Americans Act as administered through the Illinois Department on Aging and Federal Administration on Aging.  The Meals on Wheels Foundation receives no public funding.
