Donation & Support
Ways to support the Meals on Wheels Foundation:

DONATE NOW ONLINE: Click here to donate

There are many ways to support the Meals on Wheels Foundation of Cook County.  We welcome donations from individuals, foundations, organizations and businesses.  MOW Foundation is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation.  All donations are tax-deductible in accordance to IRS regulations.

In 2006 the MOW Foundation provided funding for weekend meals, preserved meals for emergencies, and meals delivered to seniors without transportation to a Group-Dining site.  None of these meals would have been possible without the support of our generous donors.

Planned Gifts:

Leave the Foundation a bequest in your will either with a monetary amount or a percentage of your estate.   If you have already included us in your estate plans, please notify our Director of Development so we may recognize you and thank you for your generosity.

Matching Gifts:

Check to see if your company has a matching gift program and will match a gift made to the Meals on Wheels Foundation of Cook County.  Many companies offer dollar for dollar matching; some double or even triple the amount you give!

Corporate and Foundation Giving:

Organizations and businesses recognize the importance of giving back and demonstrating their commitment to their community.  Your foundation, corporation, organization or business can join an elite group of donors giving significant gifts, which   appreciably contribute to our mission.  For more information, contact William Crowley,   Director of Development (312) 795-8634.

In-Kind Donations:

In-kind donations may consist of donated goods or services – examples include:  a vehicle for meal delivery, fuel or vehicle maintenance, food for an event, computers, printing resources, and other non-monetary items.

Honor Gift:

Honor a friend or loved one by giving a donation in their name in commemoration of an anniversary, birthday, wedding, or any other special occasion.   By providing their name, address, and the occasion we will send a card notifying the honoree of your thoughtful gift.

Memorial Gift:

A gift in memory of a loved one is a wonderful tribute to make and also helps improve the lives of the seniors we serve.

Volunteer Your Time:

You can give your time and talents to the Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association in several ways.  Volunteers are an essential part of our day-to-day operations and contribute by serving and delivering meals, setting up for events, and spending quality time with the elderly we serve.   You can receive more information about    specific volunteering opportunities by contacting a site manager at a location near you.
